The mission of the MLIS program is to prepare 社会ly responsible graduates for fulfilling careers characterized by ethical practice, 职业价值观, 分析技巧, leadership and lifelong learning.

The following goals and objectives were adopted by the MLIS Program in August 2019. They have been aligned with the Darden College of Education and 专业的研究 战略目标 & 目标.

  1. Strategic Goal 1: 支持 and facilitate research that creates new knowledge, addresses problems of practice, 并支持社区.

MLIS Student 学习 Outcomes

    Program Assessment - Our Students

The retention rate for students who were enrolled in the MLIS in Fall 2022 was 94.5% who continued or graduated from the program.
