的 Old Dominion University 设计 Standards are meant as a communication tool between the university and its faculty/staff, 架构师, landscape 架构师, 工程师, general contractors and specialty consultants involved in execution of projects on campus in a cooperative, partnering manner. 的y provide aesthetic, procedural and technical requirements applicable to all design and construction.
的 设计 Standards are also a reference for University project managers, project inspectors, facilities managers and other personnel whose responsibilities relate to construction, maintenance and renovations. 的y apply to new construction and renovations, Capital projects as well as Non-Capital projects and are overseen by the Department of 设计 and 建设 and Facilities Management.
的 intent is for these Standards to be a responsive document with revisions incorporated through lessons-learned on a yearly basis, or more frequently as required. We welcome feedback from users for simplifications, additions and modifications to the 设计 Standards.
