Dr. 弗洛里只得了B.S. degree in Electrical 工程 at Virginia Tech in 1984 at which time he joined the Lighting Division of Hubbell Incorporated as a product development engineer. During his 17 year tenure with Hubbell Incorporated he was promoted to positions including Chief Electrical Engineer and Manager of Electrical 工程. He has extensive experience in product design and development, testing and failure analysis, and has served on several professional committees involved in the creation of standards for the domestic lighting industry. He has been awarded 25 United States Patents and is a licensed 专业的工程师 in the 弗吉尼亚联邦.

Dr. Flory is currently an Associate Professor and former Chair of the 工程 技术 Department at 最靠谱的网赌软件 where he was the recipient of the 2007 Frank Batten College of 工程 and 技术 Excellence in 教学 Award.
