Old Dominion University has partnered with Tidewater 社区 College to introduce the 国王准备好了 program: a new pathway to degree completion for students needing additional preparation for college.
ODU President, Brian O. Hemphill, Ph值.D., and TCC President Marcia Conston, Ph.D., convened in the Koch Hall boardroom on May 15 to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that officially introduced the program. 国王准备好了 offers students who do not meet ODU's admission requirements guaranteed admission into ODU upon completion of 24 credits with a cumulative 2.在TCC有5个GPA. Students may then enroll at ODU and participate in the reverse-transfer program.

"The TCC-ODU 国王准备好了 program optimizes our Hampton Roads advantage to serve and retain students in the region," said Daniela Cigularova, ODU’s assistant vice president for academic success. “High-touch student support services will be offered to 国王准备好了 students from the first point of contact with our institutions. With this program’s co-advising model, we are setting a goal to apply every credit earned successfully to a credential at TCC and towards a degree completion at ODU. TCC and ODU are committed to the 分享d interest in student success. Our team is ready and excited to welcome the first 国王准备好了 cohort."
The 国王准备好了 program provides students with comprehensive, joint support services that ensure their seamless transfer from TCC to ODU. 服务包括:
- Specialized, personalized academic assistance via retention advisors and academic success mentors.
- Individualized co-advising with TCC and ODU advisors.
- 支持 resources with ODU’s Career Development 服务s, the 军事 Connection Centers, the Center for 军事 and 退伍军人 Education and the Student Resource Empowerment Center.
- Access to on-campus programs like athletic events, 转移星期二, financial literacy workshops and faculty spotlights.
- Application fee waivers.

国王准备好了 is an invitation-only program. Students will receive information directly from TCC and ODU.

Also present at the MOU signing were ODU Provost Austin Agho, vice president for academic affairs and interim vice president for 学生参与 and Enrollment 服务s, 凯伦•坎贝尔, Ph.D., vice president of student affairs (TCC), and ODU’s Cigularova.
